This work ethic was Arlene’s guide when she owned and operated a successful furniture showroom in the Seattle Design Center. Today, she resides on the Northwest tip of Decatur Island which is in the San Juan Archipelago of Washington State. She lives here all day, every day, and has owned properties on Decatur and Obstruction Islands for over 30 years. Her heart strings are deeply attached to Obstruction Island, as that is where Arlene’s three children grew up. Now her children return here to Decatur Island, and her grandchildren are learning that these islands touch the wildest parts of the soul; generation after generation, unplugged from today's chaos. Where time slows down, giving way for wholesome traditions to take hold. It's here, it happens, and it's magical.
