About Ashley
February 23, 2008 was a day that would change Ashley’s life forever. She had no idea what was in store for her when she went into work at Costco that morning. She was helping a customer set up her membership account, and she told Ashley she was impressed with the quality of her services. She offered her the opportunity to interview with her at Bank of America for a position of a personal banker, where she would help clients to do everything from managing their finances to securing home loans. Ashley was incredibly flattered, and of course she accepted. And she ended up being hired! Ashley was fascinated by the home loan process. Her boss eventually moved from Bank of America to Chase, and she followed her there as her unofficial apprentice. After some time, she decided that it was time for her to up her game and become licensed as an investment banker. Ashley studied hard and was rewarded for her efforts with Series 6 and Series 63 investment banking licenses. Getting licensed made her realize that she would be able to shape her career in any way that she wanted as long as she had the perseverance and dedication. Ashley was eager to begin her own career. So, with gratitude, she left her mentor and started on her own path. Ashley’s success in investment banking made her understand that she had everything she needed to be independent. She wanted her own house! After working in the home loan and investment industry, she knew that the rent check she wrote every month for her duplex unit was working towards someone else’s benefit. Ashley knew that in order to create financial stability for herself, she would need to find a way to buy her own home. It was very challenging to find the confidence to purchase a home at the age of 21, but she was fortunate enough to meet a great real estate agent. Ashley first became acquainted with a gentleman as a customer at Bank of America. During a conversation over a banking transaction, she found out that he was a real estate agent. At the time, she was working with an agent that just was not up to par. she replaced the agent that she felt didn’t have her best interest at heart and chose to hire him as her real estate agent instead. One month later Ashley was in her first home! She stayed in touch with him after she moved into the first place, she could call her own. Life was rolling along when she found out that she was expecting a baby! When Mia was born, Ashley was overjoyed. Becoming a mother has changed her in an immensely positive way. Seeing her daughter assert herself and exercise her independent spirit gives Ashley so much pride. In 2016, she welcomed her son Lucas into the world! It is important to Ashley that both of her kids develop independence and determination as they grow up, because she has found those values so important in her own life.
Through staying in contact with this agent, Ashley learned that he had started his own real estate company. She took a position recruiting real estate agents. For these few years, she worked hard to help this exciting new company grow and prosper. It was here that she realized that becoming a real estate agent was the perfect opportunity for her to blend her experience in banking, loans, and investments with her personable customer service style. Ashley made the decision to go for it and become a licensed Realtor®. Fast forward 6 years and now own a staging company in which she is able to stage her listing for free and work with other agents and investors to help their houses sell faster! Ashley often thinks back on her experience buying her first home: it was one of the biggest decisions that she has ever made, and Ashley knows that is true for everyone buying a home. It can be incredibly stressful if you are not working with someone with which you are comfortable. The contrast in the level of service that she experienced between James and the other real estate agent with whom she had to part ways was striking. she understands first-hand that having someone that you trust guiding you through the biggest purchase of your life is an absolute necessity!
