About Bart

With over 20 years in the Charleston real estate market, Bart Jackson represents the third generation in his family to focus on the real estate profession. Originally from Williamsburg, Virginia, he discovered his love for the South Carolina Lowcountry while earning his Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of Charleston. After graduating, he acquired his real estate appraisal license and gained experience at two local appraisal firms before opening his own firm in 2000. Appraising hundreds of residential properties each year, Bart has developed an intimate knowledge of Charleston’s residential markets. He obtained his real estate sales license so that he could share this experience with buyers looking to secure residential property in the area. We recently completed a complex transaction involving five parcels of land, an out-of-state trust, a bank that had foreclosed on one of the parcels and two seller’s agents. We were completely new to town and had never bought a house before, so it felt a little like we were in over our heads. But Bart made sure we never felt like that. He showed us various properties across town, and tried to really discover what WE wanted not what he thought best. Even once we found the right house, through the process of closing, appraisal, loan, and everything else, we felt like Bart had our back on everything. He helped us by knowing the specifics of the town we bought (Mt Pleasant) which allowed us to save money. Bart was amazing and I already have recommended him to other people by word of mouth. I don't consider him an agent, I consider him a friend.
