I worked with Becky as a first time home buyer. I was looking for a home at the end of 2020 not thinking I would find anything given the market craziness. But Becky found me a great home and I was able to put an offer in before it hit the market! A year later when I had an unexpected move for my job, I called Becky to help me sell. She got it listed as soon as possible, giving me advice for how to arrange furniture and stage the home. We had over 80 showings and it sold in a weekend. My brother died unexpectedly at 55 years of age and left a three bedroom home in Bloomington, MN. After paying bills, cleaning and getting the house ready for sale I used a realtor I knew personally. After 13 months, we had no offers, in fact I don't think there were any showings that people responded to.
I called Becky after reading her full color brochure I received a couple weeks after my brother died. I kept her brochure and had thrown several others thinking I could get it sold easily. After 13 months, I knew I needed to find another realtor and thankfully I could locate Becky's brochure.
I called and she returned my call immediately and came to the house the same day I called. I felt very comfortable with Becky, and felt her knowledge of the market, her personality and her skill in handling each aspect of the sale was very encouraging!
I left to visit my son in Washington state and we did much of the work online. In three days Becky had three offers on the property. I was in shock! We reviewed each offer and accepted the offer that was $10,000 more then our asking price. This was on the condition that we closed in thirty days.
Becky did an amazing job getting every aspect of the sale in place and 8 days after I returned from Washington we closed on the property. Becky and Courtney were so helpful in our home buying process! They were quick to assess our needs and open to letting us lead the process as much as we wanted, while keeping us informed of market changes. We had looked at houses in the winter and weren't overly impressed with inventory and prices. Becky is an expert at identifying potential issues and giving her honest opinion, so we never felt pressured to make an offer we weren't sure about. In the springtime, shortly after learning that we were expecting our first child, a house came on the market that seemed drastically underpriced. Because we hadn't officially started seeing homes again, I casually let Becky know the evening before that we were going to attend the open house. She clearly understood that the pricing strategy was meant to bring multiple offers and offered to meet us for a private showing before the open house began. Ultimately, we learned there was a same-day offer deadline, and about 30 offers to compete against. Becky's advice and Courtney's speed in drafting the purchase agreement landed us at the top of the pile, with no counter offer or additional negotiations. We love our house and neighborhood! I had no luck with that company and agent after month of being on the market. I then came across Becky and quickly clicked with her personality and her expertise! We got a lot of professional opinions and actual help. For example, they helped us to find painter and carpet installer, who did excellent jobs quickly on the house with reasonable expenses. We interviewed 4 different real estate agents. We chose Becky O'Brien because she was well prepared, and deeply knowledgeable about the current activities in the marketplace. She proved her capabilities time and again with excellent advice and pragmatic approaches. Where Becky really shined was in the negotiation stages on both our buy, and our sell. I feel like her knowledge of the current marketplace, and her read of each of our counterparties truly helped us get the most on both ends of the transaction. Working with Becky's team was also a pleasure. We received timely calls and feedback, they responded to our requests relating to local signage and open houses, and they were always willing to help. Becky also did a wonderful job with our marketing brochure...it was beautiful! And she put extra effort into seeing our home was featured on sites like Trulia and Zillow...consistently pulling high numbers of reviews and "saves". In the end, our home sold in about 2/3's the time of the average listing time in our pricing bracket -- and we were able to line up our sell and buy on the same date...making ONE MOVE! First, when she came into the house we sold, she told us what to do to make it sell quickly and for the best price. She set us up so we were able to see houses as they were placed on MLS.
