We were so lucky to find Bernice when searching for our first home. We were very particular on what kind of home we wanted, which there are very few of in our price range. We found one and randomly selected Bernice from a list of realtors, and boy are we glad we did! That house went under contract before we could move on it, but Bernice asked us what we wanted and she would keep an eye out. For many realtors, that would mean constantly reaching out for something that even vaguely resembled what we wanted and going to 50 uninspiring open houses for things outside our price range. When we told her we didn't want that, her response was golden:

"I'm not that kind of Realtor."

We gave her the list of what we wanted and our location and price range, and several months went by. We thought Bernice had forgotten all about us- but that's because we didn't know her yet.

Little did we know, she had been keeping an eye open for months, waiting for the right sale. When, 5 months later she found one, we got a call.

"I think I found your new house!"

We toured and loved it, but didn't know how to navigate the process. Bernice held our hands the whole way and was helpful and instructive without being patronizing. We were, frankly, probably an unusually anxious and micro-managey set of clients with many many questions. She patiently answered them, gave us her candid opinions, and helped us strategize. We usually took her advice- but when we did decide to go another direction on something, she respected our decision. She was confident but not pushy, and was constantly on top of things. She really helped guide us through the process.

All said and done, things went remarkably smoothly. We had a ton of questions, and Bernice did a ton of work to get them answered. She was there for every tour and inspection, even though it was a 90 minute round-trip drive for her. She was always professional, had good humor, and was on the ball. I suspect there are always hiccups in the home buying process (how could there not be), but when there were Bernice tackled them quickly when they were in her control.

I've only ever bought one house, so I cannot compare Bernice to other realtors, but when I need a realtor again, she's the one I'm going to call. I can't think of a better endorsement than that.
