Betsy has lived in Sumter and Clarendon counties most of her life. Growing up in Sumter, she loved listening and watching the F-16s flying over from Shaw Air Force. Swan Lake Gardens, a favorite place of hers, is stunning in the spring and summer with Azaleas blooming and Irises blooming and graceful Swans of every breed swimming on the pond. The fall and winter bring lighted decorations, which is a must see. Boating, skiing and fishing on Lake Marion is always fun! Lake Marion encompasses over 110,000 acres, with breath taking views and beautiful wildlife. The natural beauty of our community is unmatched; as well as, our Southern hospitality, which is plentiful!
Her family is her pride and joy! Betsy is married to her husband Stan, who is a retired building contractor and entrepreneur. She adores and beams with pride, when talking about her nieces, nephews, stepdaughters and grandchildren. They all have her wrapped around their fingers and she loves it. Betsy enjoys cooking, decorating, gardening, reading and traveling in her spare time.
