If you're going to sell your house in Astoria, Bianca Colasuonno and her team are really the only way to go. My family interviewed several realtors when we decided recently to put our mom's house up for sale, and Bianca really stood out: She had 20-years experience in Queens, an office in the neighborhood, a team of associates and staff, plus she was part of the national Compass real estate agency. A lot of selling a house has to do with networking and getting the word out, so right off the bat, our listing got the loyal attention of hundreds of fellow Compass agents in the city. And in the end, it WAS a Compass agent who brought us the best Buyer!

Another key advantage Bianca brought to the table were her modern marketing skills. She and her team knew how to promote our house on the Internet, and hired top pros to take fantastic photos, including a terrific floor plan illustration, a huge help during COVID when lots of potential buyers relied on virtual tours. And when we needed a contractor to ready the house for sale, Bianca had a handy list of reasonably-priced and capable pros to recommend.

Most of all, Bianca was a smart, savvy, thorough, and patient professional who always knew what to do and always kept her head - even while I was losing mine. I am a bossy, short-tempered woman low on tact, but Bianca always remained calm under pressure, remained on top of every detail, and steadfastly steered the sale over every bump and hiccup. In short: Bianca and her team were fantastic! I can't recommend and thank Bianca enough!

As I nervously began my search to buy my first home, I talked to several real estate agents. We worked with Albi Kallashi. He was the sales agent for our NYC coop apartment. We started discussing our sale with Albi during the summer of 2021 and he looked at comps and recommended us the best time to put the apartment in the market. He also brought a professional photographer and revised the process and the pictures, so everything worked in our favor to showcase the apartment.

Our apartment was in the market for 2 days before we received multiple offers and shortly after we got into contract. It was also the highest sold unit in our coop (same specs), a price point Albi recommended.

Comparatively from other coops in NYC we sold and closed within 4 months, which is significantly shorter time when compared to the typical 6 it takes.
Overall, we could’ve not been happier with the process!

Can not say enough good things about my experience with Bianca. She was the selling agent when I brought my property, and then later represented me when I sold my property 10 years after. In both cases she was extremely helpful, as she is an expert on the local market. While selling my property, I had already relocated to a foreign country, but Bianca was there back in New York to make sure everything ran smoothly in securing a buyer at the right price, and making sure the closing process was executed properly. This was particularly impressive given that it came during the height of the COVID pandemic in New York.

As a side note, I inadvertently left a box full of luxury watches back in my old apartment when I left the country. Bianca collected them for me and kept them in safe keeping until I was able to return to New York and collect them. Which was nearly 2 years later.

I highly recommend Albi Kallashi to anybody who is looking for a home, particularly if you are a first-time home buyer and new to the process like I was. Albi is a caring and empathetic person who takes the time to understand his clients so he can help them. The first time we spoke, he asked questions that you would never hear from other agents -- he wants to know who you really are, what you really want and what makes you happy -- not just the amount of your paycheck and the size of your savings account.

Albi was happy to take as much time as I needed to discuss the pros and cons of each place. He was more than patient if I wanted other people to see the apartments. He went out of his way to schedule multiple visits, never hurried us along or made me feel like I was taking too much of his time, and he never tried to oversell an apartment. I always felt like I was working with an ally, not just an intermediary in a transactional ordeal. By the end of January, Albi had shown me half a dozen places and I was ready to make my offer. He guided me through that process, and by Feb. 5 I had a signed contract and we were ready to roll. Albi spent a lot of time making sure my co-op application was properly assembled and that nothing was inadvertently overlooked or omitted. Before the end of April, I had my interview and was approved by the co-op Board. None of this is to suggest that there weren’t some frustrations and more than a little stress along the way -- I think that’s unavoidable -- but Albi did a great job to keep us always moving forward.

When we decided to sell we chose Bianca Colasuonno; it was by far the best decision we could have made. Bianca is fair, genuine, intelligent and knows the business well.

Selling your home is a very personal and frankly difficult decision to make. When you do make the decision you then have to start dealing with permits, lawyers, architects, expeditors, inspectors, repairmen, bankers and all types of things big and small. You need someone you can trust, someone who supports your decisions; remember this is a huge life change.

Bianca and her team were invaluable during the entire process, from day one to the closing. They went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable.

The week we met Bianca COVID-19 hit and we were shutdown. This did not stop Bianca and her team from proceeding to help us achieve the dream of selling our home. When it was viable and safe we started. Heeding all safety protocols Bianca organized; made appointments, hired a photographer, recommended lawyers and expeditors and more…like when we moved about a month before the closing. We gave Bianca the keys and she maintained and monitored the empty building. She took in the mail, cleared the drain in the driveway and kept it clean and ensured it was beautiful upon closing.

Always on call 24/7 and always willing to answer all of our questions no matter how mundane. Bianca has graciously guided us through process. Always guiding, never demanding and making sure that the final decision was always ours. She never pushed us and never tried to sell us on something that made us uncomfortable. She complied to all of our demands and has the patience of a saint. Bianca is extremely professional and was always punctual and came ready to work. Smart as a whip, she is able to think of clever solutions and anecdotes to resolve every problem and stumbling block. She quickly and calmly reacts to any issues that would hold up the process. I won’t bore you with the gory details but any and every crazy thing that could possibly happen when selling your property; happened to us!

Bianca stayed the course and never veered off the road and within a week, because of the listing, the photos and the hard work and dedication the building sold for higher than our asking price!

Since we moved out of state and were unable to be there, Bianca successfully closed for us as we lazed around the pool of our new home. She handled the walk through, organized the lawyers, buyer and bankers; never once complaining or questioning our needs.

Not knowing much about the real estate market these days, Bianca was very knowledgeable as the what to expect during and after this COVID market. She told me what other houses were selling for and what mine would probably bring in and gave me suggestions as to what I could do as a seller to create more appeal for my house. She was there for contractors to come in when I couldn’t be there and her recommended hired crew, in throwing away my house junk, making minor house repairs and were honest enough to tell me they found savings bonds that I never knew existed. I have been dealing with Bianca for the past few months on selling some investment property’s for me in Astoria Queens. From the very beginning she has been absolutely spectacular. From arranging contractors to get the properties ready for sale to placing them online with terrific multiple photos she has been an absolute professional. One of my properties was a Co-Op apartment with an extremely difficult Co-Op board. She dealt with them and their impossible board rules with professionalism and grace, even when I was at the end of my patience with courtesy with them.
To sum it up, she has returned phone calls quickly. Was available whenever I reached out to her, day or night. And never promised anything that she did not deliver on.
