My family has known Brian since we were in Scouts together in the late ‘80s. He has always carried himself with professionalism, leadership, capability, and integrity. In 2024, when it came time for me to help my Mom transition out of her home of nearly 50 years, it was important to us to find an agent that I could partner with, and that she could trust. Brian checked both boxes. From the initial consultation (we hadn’t seen each other in decades), all the way through to post-closing, Brian was there to lead us through every step of the process. With a blend of expertise, experience, relatability, construction knowledge (which comes in handier than you’d think), preparedness, patience, and follow-through… he proved himself to be the perfect choice in real estate representation. Brian explained each step we took with a confidence that exhibited he’d done this a million times before, but also with an enthusiasm that showed he wasn’t bored with it. He held our hand when we needed it, and gave us a gentle push when we needed that. His go-to-market strategy proved extremely effective, and he was able to present us with multiple offers in a short time frame. He was with us through the counters, the inspection, the appraisal, and the closing. He had inside knowledge of the market, the lender, and the legal team, and we were able to utilize his business network to get the deal done. In the interim, he even found time to visit the property (which by then was vacated) and maintain the curb appeal.

Above was the review I intended to write of my experience with Brian, but then something happened that I will never forget. Less than 24 hours before our official closing, an unexpected medical emergency struck my family. It was an event that changed everything in our lives, but most notably, our ability to process the paperwork required to transfer ownership. There was a lengthy hospital stay involved, and things were touch and go for over a month. Brian managed his end of our unique situation the same way he manages everything else… with grace, humanity, communication, and empathy. He was able to hold all sides of the deal together, appeasing an anxious buyer, a distressed seller, a lender with expiring approvals, and the legal team from each camp with their own views of the situation. I assure you this was no easy task, and clearly one for which there is no formal training. Despite all of that, Brian simply handled it all.

Fast forward six months, and we are just coming up for air. Although things are not yet back to normal for my family, I take comfort in the fact that Brian was able to take us over the goal line, so that we could focus on the medical recovery in those months when it was most necessary. I’m convinced there isn’t another realtor we could have chosen that could have closed this deal under those circumstances. I couldn’t give higher praise to Brian Connolly, and will always be grateful for his services.
