BACKGROUND
Buddy graduated from Booker T Washington High School in Pensacola Florida in 1982 and then from the University of Florida in 1986.
After graduating from UF, he held positions in the defense industry, the Florida Department of Commerce and was the executive director of a number of not for profit organizations, including the Healthy Start Coalition for Jefferson, Madison and Taylor Counties, as well as the statewide Florida Commission on Responsible Fatherhood.
Buddy has always loved the outdoors, and in 1997, he decided to put his love of the land into action. He moved into real estate, a career he has enjoyed for over 27 years. He ran his own successful brokerage, Witmer Realty, with offices in both Greenville and Madison, Florida, for many years before deciding to join forces with a long time friend and his wife who had opened up a brokerage in South Carolina and Georgia.
For the last 11 years, Buddy has served as the Associate Broker and Closing Director for Shannon Rollings Real Estate. In this role, Buddy and his team were responsible for taking thousands of buyer and seller contracts through the closing process. From negotiating repairs, dealing with appraisal and lender issues to resolving last minute surprises, there are few scenarios that Buddy has not dealt with.
Buddy is very well versed on the ins and outs of the mortgage loan process as well, deciding in 2021 to become a Mortgage Loan Originator with Motto Mortgage Simplified, covering Florida, Georgia and South Carolina. From VA, FHA and Conventional and beyond, Buddy can help you navigate both the real estate and mortgage sides of your purchase or sale.
Buddy and his wife Liza share 5 adult children and two precious grandchildren. They love spending time with family and friends, watching the pine trees grow and are always up for a fishing trip out on the Gulf.
