They often say that good things come to those who wait. While it doesn't feel like Carla has been waiting around for something amazing to happen in her life, it does feel like the wait is finally over! Carla's passion for walking alongside individuals and families as they navigate the real estate process is truly an honor and one that she takes very seriously. Growing up a farm girl from Dyersville, IA, Carla learned her lessons on hard work early on. Being 1 of 5 daughters to a dairy cow and hog farmer doesn't leave much room for the boys to do the dirty work! Work ethic, determination, compassion, and being one part competitive, has landed Carla exactly where she was meant to be as a full-time Realtor. Carla's husband Jeff and she have two beautiful daughters and they so enjoy living in the Corridor. Carla's husband says if they are going to live in Iowa, there is no place better than close to the Hawkeyes! Licensed in Iowa, Carla's real estate career began in 2012 as a part-time agent while also working fulltime as a professional business development director at a human resources consulting firm. Deciding to move out of corporate America and into a full-time realtor has allowed Carla so many wonderful opportunities. But most importantly, it has allowed Carla to walk with so many more people through the sometimes scary process of buying and selling a home. By living in the Corridor, Carla enjoys the unique opportunity to help clients from Cedar Rapids, Iowa City and so many of our neighboring small rural communities as a member of both the Cedar Rapids and Iowa City Board of Realtors. Additionally, Carla is a member of the National Association of Realtors (NAR). Due to Carla's corporate background, she works closely with the local businesses offering relocation services to assist people with listing their home and earn the privilege of welcoming new people to our area. Carla and her husband have been teaching Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University courses for over 10 years and she works so hard to educate people on the entire real estate transaction with the hopes of allowing you to make sound decisions around real estate for you and your family. Staying active in all areas of real estate such as new construction, relocation and existing home sales has allowed Carla to expand her knowledge and provide real-time real estate advice for her clients. Having said that, one thing Carla knows for sure in real estate is that every single transaction will be different which allows her to be constantly learning, growing, and forging incredible relationships along the way.
