Carol DiSanto has been a real estate professional since 1983 with extensive experience in both real estate appraisal and real estate brokerage. She started in real estate as a business manager and became the general manager, trainer and sales manager of a large multi-office real estate firm before starting her own real estate firm. She is a Past President of the Ithaca Board of Realtors, where she has served on and chaired numerous committees over the years. Carol has received the REALTOR of the YEAR award, twice received The Housing Opportunities Award and twice Received the President’s Award.
As an active member of the New York State Association of Realtors, Carol is a past president of the New York State Society of Real Estate Appraisers where she served on the Board of Governors for many years. She has served as the Chair of the Appraisal Committee, Chair of the Fair Housing and Cultural Diversity Committee, and has served on the Professional Standards Committee for over 20 years as well has numerous other committees.
As a member of the National Association of Realtors she has served on the Appraisal Committee, the Sustainability Advisory Group and is currently serving on the Real Property Valuation Committee, Public Policy Committee and is the 2020 Chair of the Real Property Valuation Forum.
Carol has over 30 years of extensive experience as real estate appraiser and broker, manager, and trainer and previously owned an insurance brokerage firm as well as being a former systems analyst. Carol serves on the New York State Real Estate Appraisal Board as the Vice Chair. She is one of New York State’s most highly respected residential real estate appraisers.
