I began working with Caroline 9 years ago as we were simply considering moving out of the city and to the suburbs. She was patient, knowledgeable and kind, and as soon as we decided to make the big move, it was quick and easy because of all the groundwork she helped lay. She is still an active part of our life, checking in and helping with recommendations when needed, and we've happily passed her on as a referral to our friends, who had just as wonderful of an experience. You can't go wrong working with Caroline!

We were in a situation in which we needed to find a condo for a relative who lost her husband and wanted to be closer to us. Caroline worked very hard for us. It was obvious that she knew the area very well and she knew what we were looking for as far as size and price. I was not intending to use a realtor to buy but I'm glad I changed my mind. Caroline was great throughout and always responsive, even on weekends. We made contact on a Sunday and in a few hours the same day I had a loan in place, which reduced my stress, and the name of a lawyer. Once our offer got accepted Caroline's network of vendors made finding an inspector, a sewer inspector, and an electrician very easy. I would have wasted lots of time that I don't have searching for my own vendors. Then at the walk through Caroline got us a very thoughtful housewarming gift which was a pleasant and thoughtful surprise. Definitely will use Caroline again if I need a realtor.

5 days on the market with 7 offers! Wow! Caroline impressed me right off the bat with a personalized plan and booklet for my home. Pricing the home was made easier with her comparisons of other homes in the community. Her negotiating skills were key. End result was $26K over asking price. Thank you Caroline! Caroline initially helped us prep by the house by going through and giving us pointers of what to do, like painting, removing certain furniture, as well as ensuring we keep certain things to help it show. We talked through pros and cons of certain things and with her guidance it simplified and focused our prep work.

She did the homework to help us price the house, showing us comps, giving us a history of some sales which didn't work out and some insight as to why things sit on the market; and the importance to not having the house for sale too long.

She even brought some items to help stage the house to make it look more appealing.

She was great at marketing the house, having open houses, and also talking through the offers and giving her opinion of how to proceed.

I would definitely use her again.

One of the most important things in buying or selling a house is making sure you choose the right realtor. Caroline Gau was recommended to us by our son-in-law, a mortgage broker. Caroline was very patient with our indecision about what kind of new home we wanted: condo, townhouse or single family. Caroline was always very prompt to respond to any question or request for a showing. She was very organized in her approach and took time to explain all the many steps of the process.
