Like any 20-something, she embarked on an adventure by signing herself up for Outward Bound, a 21-day wilderness trek with sixteen complete strangers.
Upon completing Outward Bound, Carrie felt the grass beneath her toes and ventured on her next journey. Boarding a plane for London, England, on a six-month work visa, she explored Europe for six weeks when her visa expired, all while living on a shoestring budget.
Following her European escapades, Carrie's next destination was New Zealand for a one-year work visa. She eagerly anticipated experiencing life as a Kiwi for a year. However, fate had different plans, and she ended up in a tiny mountain town nestled in the heart of the Colorado Rockies.
Now, 22 years later, Carrie Home remains in that very place. Over time, she has come to understand that home can take on various forms. Home can be as simple as gazing at a blanket of midnight stars, or it can be a passport stamped with destinations from all over the world. Most importantly, home can be found right where you are, in the present moment.
