About Casey
Growing up in a Coast Guard family, Casey has lived all over the United States. He understands the demands and tolls on a family, both physically and mentally, when moving homes. Whether that is across town, across the state, or across the nation, each move has different challenges and excitement that comes with it.
After college, Casey joined the Raleigh Police Department in North Carolina where he served for 12 years. After 5 years on road patrol, he joined a community outreach team where he was able to work closely with community members to solve problems in their neighborhoods. Casey served the last 5 years on the SWAT Team until he was shot in the knee while stopping an active shooter. Throughout his career, he was recognized for outstanding performance with multiple medals and awards to include the Medal of Valor, the Raleigh Cross, multiple life saving awards and letters of recognition. Casey was ultimately forced to leave the police force due to injuries sustained from the shooting.
After visiting his brother stationed in Traverse City, Casey knew this was where he wanted to raise his family. The area offered an ideal balance – combining the natural beauty reminiscent of Alaska with the conveniences of city living, all within a close-knit, small-town community. Driven by a strong desire to help others, Casey earned his real estate license as a natural extension of his service-oriented career. He recognized real estate as the ideal field to apply the skills he developed during years as a police officer- including negotiation, investigation, and a deep understanding of complex systems and high-stakes decision-making.
Casey covers the Traverse City area and surrounding counties. If you’re considering your next move or simply curious about your home’s current market value, contact Casey today. He’s ready to provide expert guidance and support every step of the way.
