Although my roots are in New Jersey, I spent most of my childhood moving all over the country, always anxious to see where our next house would be. I grew up in places that varied a lot, saw different ways of living, and developed a broad, empathic attitude toward others as a result. Moving a lot, saying goodbyes, saying hellos, packing up, dealing with pressures, and so on, all have made me a resilient, capable person who's good to have around when change is happening or when stressful situations arrive. I finally found my home to be Ohio, where I'm proud to say I've been a resident for 30+ years. A place of wholesomeness, where family doesn't have to be blood and a helping hand provides no expectations.
