Chip Schutte has spent most of his life in the northern Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, and currently lives just outside the village of Millwood, in Clarke County. After graduating from UVA, went on to earn his master’s degree from University of North Carolina in regional planning, moved back with his family, and has lived in these parts for over 20 years. Few have enjoyed living in this area more; the history, the river, the outdoor life, the local music scene all has been, along with his wife Carolyn and his 3 kids, abiding passions. His longtime involvement in real estate and the community have been constants- he was inducted into the Blue Ridge Association of Realtors Hall of Fame in 2002 and has served multiple terms on the Clarke County Sanitary Authority and School Board, as well as stints on the Boards of Help with Housing and the Barns of Rose Hill, a local performing Arts Center. On the Real Estate side, Chip, being a country boy at heart, has sold many large farms and parcels of Land, homes from the Western Loudoun County over into West Virginia, and in Winchesters many fine neighborhoods. He has in recent years become involved in Commercial Real Estate, especially multi-tenant buildings, and is currently a candidate for the CCIM Commercial designation. One of Chip’s assets is the network that he has developed over the years of contractors, planners, surveyors, and attorneys that help make his clients renovations and transitions easier.
