About Cheryl
Born in Chicago, I was raised in Bethany CT with one older brother. I am a graduate of Amity Regional Senior High class of 1978.
My background of 18 years in the engineering field (BSEE 1984, Northeastern University) is where I get my strong work ethic, organizational skills and discipline. I worked in the computer and telecommunications industry at Data General, Comverse (formerly Boston Technology), and a short stint at Phillips. I lived for over 20 years in Boston and the North Shore area of MA.
I chose to move back to New Haven at the end of 2002 after my father, an Emeritus Mathematician at Yale, became ill at which point I joined my mom, Arlene Szczarba, who has been in Real Estate since 1982. We are a team that works together and helps each other as needed.
I was awarded ‘2003 Rookie of the Year’ by the Beazley Company my first year in Real Estate. Since then I have consistently been a Top Producer and a company award holder for both of my previous companies, Beazley and Prudential. I continue to be a Top Producing agent in the New Haven area, a frequent recipient of the Connecticut 5 Star Award, an honor given to only 6% of Real Estate agents in the state for their customer satisfaction.
I am aggressively pursued by all of the top Real Estate agencies in the area. I have chosen Seabury-Hill Realtors because of their ability to provide excellent customer service, their marketing and technology leadership, and their location in downtown New Haven.
My family and I are firm believers in support of local community and have been major contributors/sponsors for many disciplines in New Haven including City Seed, Creative Arts Workshop, International Festival of the Arts, Edith B. Jackson program, IRIS, and the Wooster Square Cherry Blossom Festival held every April. In the past I have served on the following boards: The Priory Condominium (12 years), Youth Continuum, and Creative Arts Workshop.
My husband and I met and reside in New Haven’s historic Wooster Square where the Seabury-Hill office is located as well. I am currently Treasurer of the Columbus Mall Co-op where we live as well as Treasurer of the Wooster Square Neighborhood Improvement Association for Wooster Street businesses.
I am a committed full time professional who has an excellent rapport with my neighbors, clients and peers.
I look forward to helping you with your Real Estate needs.
