I had the pleasure of working with Cheryl Wood while helping my 19-year-old son buy his first home, and I also began looking for land to purchase. Although we live in Florida, we needed a realtor in the Akron area, so I googled and found Cheryl. I explained that we would only be in Ohio for six days, and she assured us she would be able to dedicate her time fully to us during our visit. Cheryl was very thorough in letting us know what we would need before our arrival, making the process smooth from the start.

This was a significant moment for my son as it was his first home, and Cheryl made sure to involve him in every step while also keeping me informed. She was always available to answer our calls and questions, never making us feel like we were asking too much.

When we arrived in Ohio, Cheryl was patient and understanding, even though my son had her driving all over as he was unfamiliar with the area. She never complained, always smiling and providing helpful insights. After a few days, we narrowed down what my son wanted, and with Cheryl’s help, he found the right home.

Even after my son had to leave Ohio for work, Cheryl stayed in touch, assisting through the offer, negotiations, and closing process. She even continues to help with local vendor recommendations now that he’s closed on his home. It was truly reassuring to know that my son was working with someone who had his best interests at heart, and I felt confident throughout the process. Cheryl’s patience and dedication, especially in working with a first-time buyer, was remarkable.

I highly recommend Cheryl Wood and would definitely work with her again in the future. It was a pleasure knowing my son was in such capable hands!

If I could give her more stars I would! My family & I were looking for a home in Ohio from out of state. Cheryl put aside time for us to view 14 houses in 5 days during our visit. She was organized and well prepared for every house on our list. Every morning she created a schedule that made sense for travel. We weren't familiar with the area so this was extremely helpful & efficient. She provided us with print outs containing specific data for each home upon arrival (pricing, square footage, etc) As a piece of friendly advice...these documents were perfect for writing notes as we walked each property. After viewing several houses in a day we could discuss our pros and cons as a family each evening. We even went to a couple of houses more than once and she never made it seem inconvenient. She contacted the listing agents right away for follow up & apts. or to get answers for any of our questions. She researched financial grants we might qualify for and even followed up with the electrician during the home inspection since we were back in Florida. Cheryl absolutely went above & beyond. I would use her again & recommend her to family & friends in a heart beat. Thank you Cheryl!!

Cheryl is worthy of the 5 star review I’m giving her. As a realtor, she is knowledgeable and very professional, but I would like to talk about the “above and beyond” aspect of my experience with her. I was coming off the loss of a Father, Brother, job and the end of a toxic relationship. I had major trust issues and No experience in the process of selling a house. We were under a time crunch to buy a house in a different county. We covered thousands of miles & saw a ton of houses, we even saw some twice. In the end we found our home within a month and are now in the renovation stages to make it our dream home. Thank you Cheryl for your dedication & patients couldn’t imagine doing this with any other agent.

Update, we made the house a little over a year long flip. The renovations were worth it and the changing market was a plus for us. The house sold in 19 days and again Cheryl was awesome to work with. As a buyers & sellers agent we definitely will be working with her in the future.

We were losing faith in our luck finding a home in this market and when we agreed to have her represent us, we found a beautiful home the first day we met her. We had our offer in that same day. She wrote up the contract and did everything I asked of her right when I asked her. The sellers said that our creativity in the deal is part of the reason they went with our offer. Cheryl had the creativity. She called the listing agent whenever I asked her to so that the seller knew we were very interested. Cheryl was by far the best realtor I could’ve asked for. Almost immediately after when we submitted an application, she called us and from there became our second mom. When we first started looking at houses, it was beyond overwhelming but Cheryl made it so much better for us.
