About Chris
Born and raised in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Chris Wetzig relocated to the Sarasota, Florida, area by way of Denver in 2009. A sales associate with the Downtown Sarasota office of Premier Sotheby's International Realty, Chris currently resides in Lido Shores on North Lido Key, but has spent extensive time living on Longboat Key and downtown Sarasota.
Chris played Division I Men's Tennis for the University of California, Santa Barbara, and competed at a professional level. He transferred to the University of Denver, where he later earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in business. Prior to entering the real estate industry, Chris worked for a mutual fund company in Denver, where he enjoyed a role as a service specialist. This experience taught him the importance of providing exceptional customer service, which translated well to his career as a real estate professional. After earning his real estate license in 2009, Chris quickly gained expertise as a waterfront and island communities’ specialist.
A tennis member of the Longboat Key Club, you can find Chris playing there most mornings. He also belongs to the Freedom Boat Club, where he enjoys cruising around the bay and fishing with his wife, Angela, a certified financial planner. He is a patron of the Sarasota Culture Collective, an arts alliance consisting of the Sarasota Orchestra, Florida Studio Theater, Sarasota Ballet, Sarasota Opera, the Asolo Repertory Theatre and Marie Selby Botanical Gardens. Chris also serves as a member of The Ringling Museum of Art and Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium.
