Christy began her real estate career in 2021. She was born in Arkansas, grew up in North Carolina, and in 2007 moved to the DFW area. She graduated with honors from High Point University and Milligan College with bachelor degrees in Business Administration and Accounting. After working 16 years in corporate accounting for various companies, including a Fortune 50 company, and working her way up from Staff Accountant to Corporate Controller, she decided to make a change. In 2010, she left the corporate environment and purchased a small business with her husband. Together they operated and expanded a seasonal tourist focused resort close to Mt Rushmore in the Black Hills of South Dakota. After 11 years they decided to sell the business and stay in Texas full time so they could spend more time with their grandkids. In 2021, during the process of selling their business and with her husband’s encouragement, Christy decided to pursue a career in real estate. She obtained her real estate license in March of that year, never imagining where that simple decision would lead her. Soon after obtaining her license, she was asked to help friends and family not only buy and sell their homes, but having just sold her own business, also began getting requests to help them sell their businesses or locate space for business expansion. Those requests prompted her to get a Commercial Specialist designation with Century 21 and TACS (Texas Accredited Commercial Specialist) designation, as well as seeking a Business Broker designation through the IBBA/Texas Association of Business Brokers.
Using her experience and knowledge in accounting, business ownership and real estate, Christy is committed to helping others realize their goals in both commercial and residential real estate. She believes that communication, education, customer service and follow up are essential to helping clients through any real estate process.
