Christy McDonald

Christy has been a full-time licensed Realtor since 2003. She has helped hundreds of families achieve their goals of homeownership and making their goals a reality. Christy has extensive knowledge in the new construction process and began her career working on-site for 5 different new construction subdivisions. She loves the process of visualizing a project from nothing but dirt & sticks all the way to the completed home. She has a passion for taking the time to learn what her client is looking for and matching them with the perfect home. Growing up with a father who was on the construction lending side of the Real Estate business Christy learned a lot about the Real Estate process by listening & visiting jobsites with him; and she always had a true interest in the industry. Her Dad never wanted her to be in the industry because of the stress and long grueling hours, but it was an interest and a passion that she developed at a very young age. She has lived in Birmingham her whole life and feels that plays a huge part in her knowledge & ability to place each homeowner in the area that best suits their needs.

As one of two team leaders of The Sargent McDonald Team, she and her business partner Kevin are passionate about helping families. Their main vision for their team was to create a legacy for helping people invest in the American Dream. "We never want our clients to feel like a number. They are special and important to us. Christy has been married since February of 2002 to a Hoover Police Captain. They have a daughter named Mallory and a little boy named Hughes. Christy is an avid travel junkie and concert fanatic & enjoys spending time at their home on Smith Lake.
