Lorrie Toler sold our house in 2023. This was a very big one for me, as I was buying a lot with two homes on it and moving my parents up from Florida to move in behind us. I don't think a single day went by that us or my parents weren't asking her questions. We had things last minute that broke, we had things that the other buyer for my old property wanted done and I truly was feeling overwhelmed about 10% out of the process, because Lorrie didn't just have an answer for everything, she had a solution! Between her and her son Owen, they never left us hanging for any large amount of time without coming back with a solution to our problem and an answer. I never saw this before and this was my first time selling my own home and buying another home so some of the process was very new to me. She always greeted us with a smile on her face, and made us feel at ease. The other thing that I would like to bring to the table is that Lorrie doesn't just blow smoke. She is very truthful down to the point on how much your property is worth, and how much it will sell for without candy coating prices and stories. She comes with facts, other listings in the area where you are selling, what they went for, and the taxes and whatnot. The other thing that I love is that Lorrie is from this area. Her whole life and her family's life is wrapped in the community in some way shape or form. She can answer any questions on anything from dance schools to sports and school districts because she doesn't just work here she lives here. And if none of this speaks to you as to why you should choose her as your realtor, then I don't know what will! Choose Local, Choose Real, Choose Lorrie!

I found out my landlord decided to sell while the market was hot 2 months before my lease was up and school was starting… to say the least, I was so stressed out! I met Christy Schmaedeke when I called to look at a house she was showing.When she learned of my predicament, she swung into action. She started lining up every house that could possibly work and dragging my sulking pessimistic self from house to house until we found the perfect fit. I’m a single mom & ER nurse working 12 hr nights so my schedule is horrible, but Christy made it work and never gave up. The actual buying process was kind of a nightmare but Christy was right there by my side knocking down obstacles and making things happen. 2 days before close I got another hard stop asking me for documents I would of had to drive 2 hours to get. When I told Christy, she worked her magic and was able to take care of that too in a matter of minutes. Christy ALWAYS had my best interest at heart and through this process became a trusted friend. She’s more like your full package house buying guru than just your Realtor! I can’t say enough about this woman who took my impossible situation and made it into a wonderful experience even getting it all finished in that 2 months and before school started- you just cannot go wrong with Christy. As I was signing the papers with the banker, I mentioned how wonderful she’d been and his response was “yeah, she’s a bull dog that doesn’t give up and always gets it done.” I’d agree and am so thankful I stumbled on her that day and had her in my corner! After doing my research on Realtors, I contacted Christy to list my property in Morris. I sent an email on Sunday afternoon - expecting a reply on Monday - but she replied in 15 minutes (on a Sunday). Very pleased with the services that Christy provided during the purchase of my home. She gave me a good idea of what a good point would be to start at for an offer in the Morris area, and based off of that I was able to get my first offer accepted at a number that both myself and the sellers were happy. She recommended an excellent home inspector. Christy Schmaedeke is an excellent Property Manager. We have been working together for a little over a year and she has exceeded my expectations. She has helped with determining the value of our rental property, and what to expect for rental income. She helped me find excellent tenants with minimal vacancy. She is friendly, professional, and excellent with people.

Christy also has a good eye and good instincts when you need to make improvements to a property. She was able to highlight what needed to be done right away and what can wait, as well as give me reasonable estimates for what these repairs were going to cost. Also helpful in this area was her network of contacts in the area to take care of all the work I couldn’t do myself.

When it came time for my tenants to sign, and later renew, their lease Christy was able to answer all my questions and provide valuable input.

In short, Christy has been an invaluable resource every step of the way. I highly recommend her.
