About Chuck

I was born in Stillwater, MN and except for time away at the University of Minnesota and as Sales Representative for General Mills, I have been a life-long resident of Washington County, MN. I have lived in Woodbury, MN since 1990, with my wife of over 35 years Deb, and our three now adult children, Josh, Noah and Maggie.

My work in sales with General Mills and as a funeral director prepared me well for this career. Taking a consultative approach, where listening and asking good questions is far more important than talking, has always been my style because this helps me align fully with the long-term goals of my client. My entire focus is on helping my clients achieve maximized results by doing more and being better at this work than other Realtors are willing or able to be. I am grateful for the trust my clients place in me, and I make sure their trust is well placed. Seen properly, I realize that the work I do as a real estate agent is critically important to the people I serve, so I work smartly and generously, in order to deliver every possible advantage to them.

I am a busy, full time Realtor, but not one who markets themselves so much that my service to my clients suffers. It is good to work with a Realtor who is active, but NOT one who is in this primarily to make money for themselves. This work is too important to the people I serve than for me to ever take this approach.

People, through the evidence of their patronage of me and what they say about me seem to like my approach very much. I have been named "Super Real Estate Agent" by MPLS/ST. PAUL and Twin Cities Business Monthly Magazines eighteen times now, and in 2023, The Chuck Eckberg Group was one of just five MN companies to receive the prestigious Better Business Bureau "Torch Award for Ethics." So, when you reach out and work with me, you will be giving yourself a definite advantage in likely the most important purchase or sale you'll ever make.

Chuck did an outstanding job in guiding us through the process of buying our first home. He is genuine and very knowledgeable. He was very patient as we were new to home buying and looked at many properties. We will definitely be contacting him in the future if we need his help in the real estate field!

When I first met with Chuck to discuss buying my first home, I was very honest upfront. I let him know that I would like to learn about my local market, see a lot of homes, and overall, gain some experience with this whole process before we started bidding on houses. Chuck didn’t bat an eye at my request. So, we saw homes…and saw homes…and saw homes. Roughly sixty of them, in fact. We went to every first-ring suburb you can think of and several neighborhoods in the Twin Cities. He taught me all about why the age of stucco siding mattered and how to find the year a water heater was put in. He didn’t just take my request to learn seriously – he also prioritized me at the same level as an active buyer.

Three months and nearly sixty houses later, it was time to get serious. Due to some personal reasons, I was taking a short break from our regularly scheduled showings, but Chuck told me to call him if there was a house I wanted to see. I did…about two days later. We got in to see the house the next day. We were under contract by the weekend and closed about three weeks later.

While I can’t always guarantee you’ll get the house on the first try, I can guarantee you will have set yourself up with the best possible chance at success with Chuck as your realtor. He is knowledgeable, meticulous, and perhaps most importantly, personable to both you and the seller or buyer you’re trying to woo. Chuck is also transparent and honest. For a bit during my inspection period, the sale looked rocky. Instead of trying to convince me to buy the house anyway, Chuck said he would support me if I wanted to walk away. I can rave on and on about this guy, but I’ll leave it at this: he is the first realtor I will call when I need to sell or buy again.

We cannot say enough great things about Chuck & team. I reached out to Chuck to take over from an ineffective agent and a pretty bad experience. Within days of connecting with Chuck, I met almost the entire Guardians team and had a full staging, prep, media, and listing plan. The services Chuck provides, and the quality of his professional network is unmatched – everyone from the photographer to the drone operator to the videographer and the marketing assistant, etc., are at the top of their game and clearly communicate time needs and what they need to be successful (and ultimately sell your house quickly). Selling your home is disruptive and complex and Chuck was an ideal leader and partner to manage the chaos, emotions, and logistics of our end-to-end real estate transaction. My home was a unique offering with advanced technology but in an older, somewhat stale neighborhood and Chuck took the time to understand the rare technologies and present our home as the gem it was. He is a dream to work with!
