My sister, brother-in-law and I were looking for a home with an ADU in Sequim, WA. Kathy and Ray had previously lived in Sequim for 8 years, but a family situation required them to relocate to the east coast.
We interviewed several real estate agents to assist us in finding the perfect home in Sequim.
We selected Chuck Marunde, based on his extensive knowledge of the Sequim and Port Angeles areas, his successful record of sales, his understanding of local and regional regulations, and with his JD degree, has a comprehensive command of real estate law.
Chuck helped us find the perfect home in the Old Town area of Sequim. Our new home was exactly what we wanted, a home with some acreage and an ADU. Chuck represented and performed the tasks of buyer's agent, of overseeing the mortgage broker process and in assisting with a successful closing, flawlessly. He is the complete real estate agent and real estate broker package. Chuck is very reliable, stays in direct communication with the buyer and remains involved in the process until the transaction is completed.

Chuck Marunde is a gem - we were relocating to Port Angeles from out of state and had three days in which to view properties - knowing this in advance, Chuck determined our needs and arranged a full schedule for all three days, showing us a wide range of properties that might fit our needs. He is organized, professional and very pleasant to work with. By the time we were due to leave town, we were in escrow on a beautiful home that met our criteria. We worked with Chuck Marunde a number of years ago to first look for a place in Sequim for eventual retirement, and then to buy a condo. Chuck was great: professional, extraordinarily knowledgeable, fun to be with, and had great follow-through. Part of the follow-through was making a great suggestion for a property manager (since we were living in Texas at the time), who did a fantastic job. Can't recommend Chuck highly enough!

In the winter of 2012, My wife and I contacted Chuck to assist us in locating a retirement home in Sequim. At the time there wasn't much available in Sequim. We spent many hours with Chuck exploring the North Olympic Peninsula from Joyce to Port Ludlow and enjoyed every minute of it. Really appreciated having the kindness, wisdom, experience and education that Chuck embodies when purchasing our dream property in Sequim from out of state. Having Chuck Marunde as our agent has been a fantastic journey! First of all, he has written an amazing book, “The Sequim Real Estate Trilogy,” about how to buy property in Sequim. That is what initially sold us on working him, as his book is packed full of everything you need to know about Sequim and how to buy property here.

Considering his depth and breadth of experience regarding the Sequim real estate market, we decided that we just had to work with him! At first, we wondered, “Will he have time for us?” Well, he not only had time, but he went over and above what we would have expected, spending a generous amount of time with each viewing!

My wife and I fondly refer to Chuck as our “forensic realtor” because he has an uncanny knack for seeing all of the clues that a house has and is able to bring to light all of the things that are really important to consider before buying one.

Again and again he was able to point out important considerations that we would have completely missed on our own. We realized very quickly that we could trust Chuck with one of the most important decisions of our life!

I’ve known Chuck Marunde for several years. My wife and I bought and sold several houses through his services. Whether Chuck was representing us as the buyer or seller, I am confident he always had our best interests at heart. He helped us set or negotiate a reasonable price, and made sure there was a clear and open line of communication.
