Cindy founded Sugarbush Real Estate in 1969 and the company grew rapidly into a full-service real estate firm, including sales and promotion for new condominium complexes, a 500-unit rental operation and property management company. She opened the Waitsfield office in 1985 and expanded the firm's general real estate services. In addition to exclusively promoting and marketing of Sugarbush's condominium projects, Cindy and her partner Brian have developed and marketed numerous subdivisions, including Eurich Farm, Bragg Hill, The Colony, and Lincoln Ridge, a ski home community serviced by snow cat access to the slopes. Cindy recently worked on the Scrag Mountain Gateway project which added an important entrance parcel to the Waitsfield Town Forest trail system.
Enthusiastic about skiing, horses, golf, and the Mad River Valley, Cindy grew up in Lexington & Wayland, MA, obtained a BA at St. Lawrence U., and moved to the Valley in 1969. She has served as an EMT-I and crew chief for the Mad River Valley ambulance, lives in Waitsfield with her husband Al, and loves sharing her passions with her children and grandchildren.
Cindy and her family founded Hannah's House, a nonprofit mental health center, in 2010 in memory of her daughter Hannah. Hannah's House is dedicated to promoting mental health for children, teens and adults and offers counseling services in Waitsfield, Waterbury and local schools, educational outreach, neurofeedback brain training and financial assistance for therapy.
