Cindy Pappas

Cindy has been a Block Island resident since 1976 and began her career in real estate in 1977. Her agency, centrally located in the heart of Old Harbor, is the Island's oldest, largest, and most experienced firm. Her tenured career has given her the opportunity to forge long term relationships with her Buyers and Sellers-a true source of satisfaction and joy. As Cindy says, 'it's all about relationships!' Having a job that you love is a great stroke of luck; having that job in a place like Block Island is nothing short of heaven on earth! Through the years, Cindy has had the pleasure of being involved in island life on multiple levels. She spent almost two decades working with the Block Island Land Trust and was instrumental in helping to preserve critical areas of open space to preserve the vistas that we all enjoy. For her efforts, islanders recognized her by awarding her the town's Bayberry Wreath Award in 1993. Her work was also nationally recognized, and Cindy was awarded the Times Chevron Conservation Award in 1994. Currently, she has been using her knowledge and expertise of the Block Island market to create affordable housing opportunities for local residents. She is a founding member and current chair of the Block Island Housing Board. Guiding her company through their recent affiliation with Sotheby's International Realty has been a rewarding experience, and she and her staff look forward with renewed enthusiasm and vision as they continue to offer professional service and superior market knowledge coupled with international reach.
