Courtney Kraus

For Courtney, being a real estate agent was not just a career choice, it is embedded in her DNA. Growing up, her father was one of the top Realtors in Kansas City, and as a small child, she remembers going with him to hold open houses. After raising a houseful of kids, her mom also became a licensed Realtor. Out of her seven siblings, two of her siblings and she continued the family tradition and became Realtors. As you can see, real estate runs in their blood.

Courtney has been a full-time Realtor, licensed in both Kansas and Missouri, since 1999. After her brother Jim became licensed and bought Brookside Real Estate, it only made sense for her to join him. Some think that sibling rivalry would make it hard to work with her brother, but they have a great friendship and respect for each other.

Having grown up here, Courtney loves Kansas City, especially being able to watch the city as it transitions through each of the four seasons. Being a local, gives her an edge at researching and getting to know other neighborhoods in both Missouri and Kansas. This advantage has proven very beneficial to her clients.

Beyond her career at Brookside Real Estate, Courtney really enjoys traveling with her husband, Denzyl, to his home country of South Africa. They try to visit there every other year to spend Christmas with his family. For their future adventures, she looks forward to traveling around the US with him...in an Air Stream camper!
