Lake Lure Land is a real estate firm owned and operated by Dan Hoffman, a North Carolina broker, and Realtor®.
Licensed in the state of North Carolina since 2003, Dan's first real estate sale was a 100-acre tract of land. In the first couple of years, he worked at three different real estate firms before settling in for a 14-year stretch working with a developer (until he passed). During his first year with the developer, Lake Lure Land was born, while Dan learned the ins and outs of building and maintaining a website to support his business.
LakeLureLand.com was a domain name Dan found available at the time while selling land in Sweetbriar Farms, a community located in Lake Lure. Seeing as the lake is the 'Jewel of Rutherford County', Dan kept the domain name, even as he expanded to include listings in Union Mills, Rutherfordton, and surrounding areas. Dan has been working for twenty years as an agent, assisting both buyers and sellers through the property transfer process.
Dan was born in Seattle, and in his youth, relocated to Mobile, Alabama, where he spent twenty years working in the printing trade and then another eight in residential construction. In 2001, Dan and his family moved to Rutherford County, NC, where, in addition to real estate, his life is filled with laughing grandchildren, gazing at a sky full of stars in the evenings, spending mornings on the front porch drinking coffee with his wife of thirty-plus years and sometimes listening to the songs of the abundant bird population.
