About Dana
As a real estate broker, Dana considers herself a steward of people and place, supporting clients with their Whidbey Island real estate needs and dreams.
Dana moved to Whidbey Island with her family in 2003, initially allured by the stunning beauty of this island, yet also longing for a slower pace and a strong sense of community. Twenty-one years and she still exhales each time she takes the ferry onto this island she calls home.
In her early professional years, Dana worked as an actuarial analyst at The Hartford Insurance Company. Raised outside of Hartford, CT, the insurance capital of the world, it was easy to step into this corporate industry. However, it did not take long for her to realize that she was wired to be in the world of service. Dana went back to school, became a registered nurse, and worked at a large teaching hospital in Hartford. Although no longer officially working as an RN, Dana continues to bring a high level of care and kindness to her work.
While raising her children on the island, Dana managed a local retreat center, Aldermarsh. One of her favorite experiences was witnessing people come to the island for the first time. Over and over, Dana would hear how the island supported them in finding rest, renewal, and inner nourishment. She witnessed the profound impact that place can have on people, and she brings this awareness into her work with real estate. Dana knows how important it is to find the right home and knows how difficult it can be to let go of a home.
Dana considers it a privilege to support you with buying or selling your home on Whidbey. She brings a unique combination of deep listening and fierce advocacy to this business. Aware that impeccable attention to details and stellar business practices are essential, Dana also tracks the complexities that come along with buying or selling your home. She offers compassionate service with a backbone of integrity.
Dana believes that win-win experiences are possible, and thus her goal when working with clients. She loves to have fun and can discover humor in just about everything. However, even with the intermittent laughter, Dana takes the business of real estate seriously.
Dana is a lover of poetry, nature, people, and enjoys exploring different cultures and ways of being in this world. She appreciates children and welcomes their presence during the real estate experience. Dana looks forward to serving you with your Whidbey Island real estate needs and dreams.
