My wife and I started house hunting last year and it was rough. We went through three agents who were all talk, no action — not professional, didn’t know the market, and just weren’t consistent. Then my wife’s friend recommended Daniel Berger, saying he’s one of the best in Westchester, and she was totally right.

We started with Daniel in January and saw tons of houses. Some were too pricey, some weren’t in the right spot for our kids’ schools. Through it all, Daniel never pushed us into buying. He always said, “Don’t settle. You need to love the house.” That meant a lot, especially after months of searching and getting discouraged.

Daniel knows his stuff. He does the research, understands the neighborhoods, and really listened to what we wanted. He’s also just a great guy — super honest and upfront. If a house wasn’t worth it, he’d tell us right away. He works around the clock too. There were plenty of nights I called or texted him around 9 or 10 PM and he always answered.

Beyond that, he’s genuinely kind. He loves animals (he’s got two dogs, one disabled) and clearly cares about people.

Finally, at the end of April, we found the perfect house. Daniel handled the negotiations and made it easy. We closed on June 30, 2025. At the final walkthrough, we noticed the sellers hadn’t cleaned up properly. Daniel didn’t waste time — he called our attorney, Sheri Zarkower, and got the sellers’ lawyer to cut us a $300 check then and there.

We’re so glad we found Daniel. He’s professional, honest, knowledgeable, and actually cares. If you want an agent who goes the extra mile to help you find the right home, Daniel’s your guy. Highly recommend!

Professional, Responsive and Friendly . I am the executor of my Aunt's estate, which the house on Nolan Ave was part of. I was told by the trust's lawyer to expect about a 1/2 year to a year timeline for selling the house. I'm happy to report that Daniel and his team were able to sift through the bureaucracy and endless paperwork that this old house had attached to it (Old building permits that were not signed off etc.) and accomplished the task in under four months. Daniel put together a team that was able to do all the necessary construction work the house required to be up to code and to sign off on those open permits. He found a buyer that had the backing and finances to complete the sale for a fair price. Daniel far exceeded my expectations and I'm sorry that our professional relationship is over.

Very personable, and a good man. We met Daniel a few years ago when he sold an apartment on our floor. His approach was forward but comforting. We told him at the time we weren't ready but he kept in touch with to let us know when we were ready he'll help us to the best of his ability to get our place sold. Fast forward to late 2023 and we reached out to him to let him know we were finally ready. Guess what he answered our call and within a couple of weeks of listing our place it was sold. He worked with us and the board to get everything right and gave us his honest opinions on some of the offers we got and had us wait for the right one. When the right one came in we took his advice and ran with it. He was working with his team to make sure we were kept in the loop the whole time even while on vacation he was helping us stay informed on the contract and board approval progress. DAN’S THE MAN. I’ll work with Dan for any home buying purchase in and around the NY / CT area. He knows the market, the areas, things to look out for and be aware of when vetting, bidding on, inspecting, and closing on a property. Advocates and negotiates on your behalf as a realtor should, lets you know when you might be over paying or when you may need to step up to compete. More importantly, he is always available and supportive for his clients… we’ve had 2 different interesting closing situations and he managed it like a pro. The latest involved a very difficult seller who almost torpedoed the closing day but Dan and our lawyer Sheri Padernacht (his recommendation and partner) stuck it out the entire day negotiating on our behalf, making sure our interests were properly represented, and making sure we got the house as we agreed on it or we got a concession to compensate for changes we’d have to make. I literally sat in the car with his for almost 4 hrs going back and forth with our and the sellers lawyer making sure we got what we should have. He’s reshuffled his schedule numerous times to make things work for us, responds immediately, has a great personality, knows when to cozy up to a seller / broker and knows when to be firm and direct when needed to accomplish our goals. Hire this Agent! Let me start with the bottom line...Danny was beyond outstanding and anyone looking for a broker who meets Danny would be a fool not to hire him!Now, lets go back to the beginning of the process. I met Danny through a mutual friend who recommended him to me, and we instantly hit it off. I explained how my sister and I were looking to sell our mom's condo since she no longer lives there (now in assisted living). He was very empathetic to our situation and then explained the process of selling and how he works. We then hired him. Even though we were not in a huge rush to sell since mom already had a place to live, he made it a priority to get the condo listed ASAP. We discussed comps to determined the best price, and recommended that we do not price it too high so we don't scare would be buyers off. He brought out his photographer to take photos for the listing and 36 hours later the listing was live. Because he made this a priority (which I can only assume he does for all his clients), we had multiple showings within 24 hours and within 72 hours of that had 2 offers, one for all cash. This I can attribute to his astute knowledge of the market and how to effectively price his listings. After a couple of days of negotiations we accepted the all cash offer for not only over asking price, but at the high end of the comps he pulled!Now came the next step in the process, which was to move towards the closing. He shepherded us through the process, proactively communicating throughout, and was also extremely responsive when we contacted him, any time day or night. We just closed the other day, which was only 37 days from when we listed it...a record of sorts in NY!!! We can't thank Danny enough for helping us sell mom's condo, which was a big relief for my sister and me. He showed empathy and was a true gentleman throughout. Danny Berger is an amazing real estate broker and I am grateful to have worked with him on the sale of our home.  From the initial step of reviewing our house to determine a listing price and it’s readiness for sale, he noticed a  problem that needed to be addressed.  Instead of just telling me to fix this issue, Danny arranged for a contractor to do the work, scheduled it to be done the next day, and negotiated a very fair price for the work.  Danny then did a terrific job creating brochures with beautiful pictures and a top-notch video.  Throughout the time the house was on the market, Danny provided open houses almost every weekend and answered all questions of other brokers and potential buyers in a timely and professional manner.  Once we began to receive offers, he obtained a great sale price for us, maintained constant communication with all parties involved, and always listened to what we needed and wanted. A long time friend of mine recommended Dan Berger to me. As I know this particular friend for 40+ years now, I know she rarely raves about the service she’s received, but she told me there is no better real estate broker in the market. Working with Daniel was a breath of fresh air within the realty world. We were lucky to have met Daniel in our house hunting process. Without him, I do think we would have not found our forever home. We were relocating from out of state with very little knowledge of the area, so it was important to us that our realtor be willing to spend time helping us understand the locations that would be a good fit for us. In addition, we were moving during the pandemic AND when real estate inventory was at an all time low, so we also knew we wanted someone who was responsive, not only to us, but to the seller in order for us to be able to close a deal. Danny cleared his schedule when we came in to town for a weekend to house hunt. Within the first few minutes of meeting Danny in person, we knew we had a good match for our realtor! We had two, 12+ hour days looking at houses. We would go back to our hotel exhausted and Danny would go home and go to work for us! I'm not sure the man sleeps! Like many buyers in the current market, we made offers on two houses that we didn't get. But Danny was not deterred! Finally, Danny found a house that he said would be the perfect fit for us. Once again, he rearranged his schedule to accommodate ours in order to do a video tour with us. Danny, gave us a tour over video. He took his time and pointed out things to us that he remembered from our previous tours were important to us. Holy smokes! Danny nailed it! We bought the house having never been in it, but we knew Danny knew us and our needs well enough to be confident in our decision. Here's the coolest part....when we arrived to look at the house for the first time, Danny treated the tour as if it were the first time we'd ever seen the house. He ran inside and turned on the lights, walked us through each room and pointed out different features and he was just as excited as we were to be in the house! We knew from the start that our house hunting journey was not going to be easy in the current market and in the midst of the pandemic, but without a doubt Danny made it easier, provided valuable insight in a new to us market and communicated every step of the way. Dan is very personable, responsive and knowledgeable. I worked with Dan for almost 8 months and he did not stop until he found the perfect apartment for me. Dan listens to your wants and needs and he also knows a lot of people to help make the process smoother when applying for the mortgage loan, obtaining a lawyer, etc. Dan was a pleasure to work with and I would again in a heartbeat if I am ever looking to buy again

Where do I begin with this GEM! When we first met Danny, we instantly had a rapport. He was incredibly knowledgable, responsive and accommodating. He shared his insight and was patient and helpful with all our questions as first time home buyers.

Danny really shined once we decided to make an offer- he was RELENTLESS in moving the process forward as quick and efficient as possible. We leaned on him every step of the way as he advised us and played quarterback among all the players- the mortgage broker, our lawyer, the inspector and the sellers, etc. He was always there at any point during the day and night, our lifeline. We not only bought our dream Tudor, we gained an amazing friend!

Daniel is definitely the best real estate agent in NY. With his help, we found our dream home. It was our first time home buying so Daniel assisted us at each step of the process and answered all our questions immediately. He quickly convinced the sellers about how serious our offer is so the negotiations were very smooth and fast. After my first phone conversation with Daniel, I knew that I had found the perfect realtor to help my wife and me find our first co-op apartment. I could hear the passion for helping others in Daniel’s voice. He explained the process clearly and had an excellent online system to alert us to the apartments in our criteria. Daniel was available anytime during the day and would return my messages immediately. He made us feel like we were his most valuable clients. Daniel was willing to do whatever it took to help us out, including allowing me to drop off paperwork at his home in the evening and then taking the paperwork to the co-op management office for me so I would not have to miss a day of work. Daniel also connected us with a great mortgage broker and a lawyer. Together they worked as a team throughout the closing process. I would highly recommend Daniel Berger to any of my friends and family members who are looking to buy a home. Buying a home can be so stressful but Daniel truly made this process so easy and smooth for us. We couldn’t have asked for a better person. He was so patient and kind throughout the whole process. Danny made my first buying experience a positive one to remember! He was patient in showing me many homes before I found what I was looking for. His constant availability no matter what the time of day made the buying process seamless. His extensive knowledge helped me navigate the unfamiliar and tricky world of co-ops. There were definitely some bumps in the road but Danny worked diligently every time to smooth things over even when it wasn’t really his responsibility. He also gave me a great recommendation for a mortgage broker and they made a great team in ensuring I was able to purchase my first home quickly and efficiently. His dedication and perseverance enabled me to buy my dream home and for that I will always be grateful! He still checks in on me even though I closed a few weeks ago.
