Darlene King-Jennings

Darlene King-Jennings is a dedicated and successful real estate professional in the local area. Her personal goal is to simplify the process of buying and selling real estate, and to satisfy everyone's needs to the best of her ability. King Realty is the area’s oldest agency establishing itself in 1962 by Darlene’s mother Roberta King. As a nurse in the area she shared her time between her real estate business, nursing and her family. Not long after, she was joined by Darlene’s father Roger King. Darlene’s father also moved his barbershop business and co-joined it with the real estate. It was a great combination. The Boston Globe had a write up of him which headlines “Real estate information and a haircut for $5.00.” King Realty has been run by members of the King Family ever since.

Like her son Austin, Darlene learned the business through her childhood years in the backseat of the car, watching her parents before her in sales and service to this community. Darlene received her salesman's license in 1978 while still in college and then her broker's license a few years later. Darlene and her late husband Jonathan came back to the community after college and raised their family here. In 2001, after her father’s passing, Darlene took over the family business and has been running it ever since. In 2013, Darlene was joined by her son Austin, and she is proud to say that King Realty is now 3 generations strong.
