About David

Originally from Minnesota, David Cragoe always longed for a place that was not so cold. He wanted to live somewhere with lots of sunshine and warm weather throughout the year. After finishing college, it was time to make the move! The year was 1988, and after considering various locations, San Diego came up first on the list for David. Besides having temperate weather throughout the year, the diverse terrain and microclimates intrigued him. Shortly after arriving, he and his wife Patty began to explore the backcountry and soon discovered the Anza-Borrego Desert State Park. There was something enchanting about the desert that kept them coming back repeatedly. After exploring the park from South to North, they came upon the town of Borrego Springs and loved it. From that point forward it became their goal to someday reside there.

David started his real estate career in 1991 selling homes in the San Diego metro area. In 2003, he and Patty started their own real estate brokerage. In 2005, the owners of Road Runner Realty were looking to retire and sell the business. The couple were excited about the possibility of moving to Borrego Springs, and after careful consideration, decided the time was right. Having resided there for more than ten years, the two love it more than ever. David and Patty are surrounded by such an excellent group of clients and friends that they cannot imagine a nicer place to help people realize their dreams.
