David is a lifelong Arlingtonian. He grew up in Arlington, owned a specialty food shop in Arlington Heights in the 1980's (Leone's Provisions) and has lived on Bartlett Avenue since 1993. His father, Dave Leone Sr., was an attorney in Arlington for over 50 years at Leone & Leone, along with his brother John and sister Sue. His mother Lorna still lives on Irving Street. After 30 years of working in the financial industry, and several years of conversation, he decided to join Bowes Real Estate, now Gibson Sotheby's International Realty - a mainstay in Arlington for 75 years. His time in the financial industry was immensely educational. He managed sales and marketing strategies for companies here and abroad. He learned what good companies do and the right ways to help clients. Finding the best strategy often starts simply by listening. Salesmanship usually comes last. This is what attracted him to Gibson Sotheby's International Realty. He found they had much the same philosophy about clients: understand their needs, treat them respectfully and be candid. Simple ideas, but key for success. Teamwork was another factor. He found Gibson Sotheby's International Realty committed to maintaining a real team culture in the workplace, contrary to others. The combined experience and knowledge are exceptional, and their willingness to share it benefits everyone. It's great working back in Arlington, and it will be his pleasure to help you.
