David Mattox

David is a founder and partner of Cheaha Realty Services, LLC and is the licensed Broker for the company in the state of Alabama and a member of the National Association of Realtors in good standing.

David is a native Alabamian and has lived and worked in Clay County, Alabama since 1977. He graduated from Jacksonville State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance with a minor in Accounting. David is married to Julia and they have two children and one grandchild.

Before entering the real estate field, David was employed for 12 years with The First National Bank of Ashland and SouthTrust Bank in Lineville. In addition, David and his wife owned and operated a successful poultry operation for 19 years under contract with Koch Foods in Ashland, Alabama. Together, they also operated a cattle farm for 25 years.

Knowing the east central Alabama countryside very well and loving to be outdoors and around people, David decided to become a real estate agent in 2009. He joined Emerald Realty Services, a real estate firm based in Lineville, Alabama for over 20 years.

In the spring of 2010, the owner of Emerald Realty decided to pursue other interests and offered the business to David and Billy Robertson, another agent with Emerald. David and Billy bought the assets and listings of Emerald Realty and formed Cheaha Realty Services, LLC.

David knows east central Alabama land and Lake Wedowee. Whether he is helping clients buy or sell Alabama property, David is committed to and focused on total customer satisfaction.
