I am a licensed real estate Broker in Texas with a GRI designation. I started my real estate career in 1991 with Jerry Hughes Realty and have been listing and selling homes, land, and commercial properties for 31 years. I also have many years of experience working with relocation companies, moving buyers and sellers in and out of our area with local industry.
Our family business was formed in 1977 and sold to American Real Estate in 2017, and we became associated with the ERA franchise. Before becoming a realtor, I worked in the banking industry and attended Lamar University for four years. I work full-time listing and selling in Southeast Texas, and I am the market leader for the Orange office and the top producer for the entire American real estate company. I have been recognized as one of the top 10 agents in Texas and one of the nation's Best by Real Trends Magazine.
I am married to my high school sweetheart, Glenn Hughes, owner of 2G3D Photography, and we have two wonderful children. Our son Ben graduated from the University Of The South in Sewanee, Tennessee, with a Bachelor's degree and completed his Master's Degree at Vanderbilt. He and his beautiful wife, Lisa, live and work in Nashville, Tennessee, and have blessed us with two lovely granddaughters, Isabella, who is three years old, and Emersyn, who is four months old.
Our daughter Kayla graduated from Sam Houston State University and went on to Texas A&M, earning her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. She and her wonderful husband, Nick, live and work in the College Station area and have also blessed us with two beautiful grandchildren. Mackenzie is four years old, and Ian just turned one year old. As you can imagine, "NaNa" and "Paw Paw "love spending time with our grandchildren!
My other interests include traveling and outdoor activities, cooking, and reading. I was born and raised in Orange, Texas, and real estate has been a fantastic career.
