About Dena

As a native of the Charlotte metro area with over 13 years of experience as a real estate broker, Dena has extensive knowledge of the local market and a passion for educating and guiding her clients through the process of buying and selling.

Dena is a native of Lancaster, South Carolina, which is a short distance south of Charlotte. After graduating from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, she earned her real estate license and began her career in real estate working for McCar Homes, a national home builder. Dena returned to the Charlotte area in 2009 and was a Broker/Realtor® with RE/MAX in Ballantyne prior to joining HM Properties in February 2020.

Over the years, Dena has gained expertise in many different aspects of the residential real estate market including new construction, relocation, luxury golf and lake properties, active adult communities, and short sales & foreclosed properties. Dena is dedicated to making her clients’ real estate transactions as smooth and stress free as possible.

Dena and her husband, Nathan, and son, Whitman, live in the Berkeley neighborhood in South Charlotte. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, reading, and boating.
