Denise is a native of the Carolinas and a graduate of the College of Charleston, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting. Her early professional life led her to moves as far away as Texas, but all roads led her back to the place she was always drawn to, Charlotte, and its amazing, blossoming suburbs. She has witnessed, first-hand, the evolution of Union County at the southeastern-most edge of the city; what was predominantly a slow-paced rural landscape of horse farms is now a bustling suburb where natural beauty has been preserved, but vibrant neighborhoods have sprung up, making this a highly desirable place to call home, also boasting some of the highest-rated schools in the entire state.
Prior to working in real estate, Denise worked in the financial services industry for 19 years. First, in public accounting with PricewaterhouseCoopers, then with Bank of America. A particularly eye-opening experience for Denise was that of working in the department that handled mortgage collections. She recalls, rather vividly, getting an inside view of the difficult financial circumstances people can find themselves in, sometimes as a result of not receiving all the education and services they needed to make a safe decision when they financed and purchased a home.
Beginning on day one of her career as a Realtor®, Denise prides herself in “service, service, service,” striving to hear from every client, “Wow, we have never received this level of service before!” She is the agent who will personally show up hours early to the scheduled photo session at a new listing to make sure that every item is in its place! And that over-the-top service extends to providing continuous commitment to good communication, with an emphasis on educating clients to avoid the mistakes and pitfalls she knows people can make in the peak of excitement about becoming new homeowners.
Denise and her husband, Rick, enjoy raising their two children in South Charlotte.
The passion Denise holds for living in the Charlotte area is one that she is glad to pass along to her clients, proud of what an attractive, pristine city it is. When asked where they’re going on the kids’ spring break from school, she says there’s more than enough to do right here – when other people might look to get away, she welcomes the free time to stay right here and explore all the area has to offer. This spirit is no doubt contagious to her clients!
