For my most recent sale of a rental home, she handled everything from finding a company to clean the house for us, to getting the new carpet installed, to finding a handyman to do a few repairs. I cannot believe that I did not leave a review after we bought our first house but I guess the whirlwind of being a new home owner set in and I forgot! Exactly a year later Denise still ceases to amaze us. During the transaction in the craziest of housing markets she made us feel calm and confident! A year later we got a beautiful bouquet of flowers celebrating our 1 year anniversary of the purchase of our first home! I could not recommend Denise enough! She is an amazing realtor and this is coming from someone who used to work in the industry! In a year wrought with COVID and financial uncertainty, when it came time to sell our house of seven years my wife and I wanted a REALTOR we could trust to educate and navigate us through the craziness of the real estate market--from the planning table to the closing table.

This is where Vicki Baxter at Brook-Owen Real Estate came in. Vicki is one of those rare agents who recognizes that real estate isn't just about property, it's also about people. From the moment that we sat down at the planning table, we could tell Vicki was knowledgeable in her field. Rather than immediately bombarding us with market comps and a long list of things that we were going to need to do to our home, she sat down and just listened to us; our thoughts, concerns, questions, and what we were really hoping to get out of the transaction.

To help arrive at a listing price, she shared market comparisons, value-added staging recommendations (she has a background in interior design!) and also a few go-to-market strategies for us to pick from. Honestly, all of the information was a bit overwhelming at first, but this where Vicki's communication skills really shined. Vicki walked us through all of her work step-by-step, explaining the pros and cons of each approach in clear, easy to understand manner. Vicki's experience and clear communication was something that proved to be invaluable throughout the process, especially when it came to those 40+ page contracts and trying to select one of the multiple offers we recieved on our home.
