Desni is the Broker for Advantage Real Estate in Marietta, OH, wife of Bob Crock, and mother of two teens, Bridget, fourteen and Anna,12. In 2008 her then 2-year-old, Bridget was diagnosed with a rare, genetic cancer called Pleuropulmonary Blastoma. Desni was pregnant with Anna at the time. After a year of invasive chemotherapy and the birth of Anna, Desni was able to celebrate Bridget being cancer free. Thanks to her community, friends, and family they were able to survive financially, but just barely. They desperately wanted to be able to pay back all the kindness they were shown, but that was impossible. In 2011, a friend’s daughter was diagnosed with cancer. At that time, mutual friends decided it was time to do something. At her kitchen table about twenty women sat around and formed BrAva, a culmination of Bridget and AVA.
