After 46 years in the same home, Don and Val helped us buy a new house. The process was daunting but Don and Val explained every step and answered all questions. We had been searching for 11 months before making an offer. Don and Val were especially valuable as we were actually out of the state so we could not tour the new home and relied on Don and Val to be our eyes. We trusted their judgement and are thrilled with the result. After the purchase, Don and Val sold our previous home for us. Much to our delight, the "Coming Soon" sign in our yard was changed to "Sold", completely skipping the "For Sale" step. What efficiency!

They treated my home like their own, guided me and made sure i made the right decisions throughout ( though i was a little impatient sometimes). Don appraised correctly ( appraised 25000 USD above the other agents whom i spoke to), made sure it went for the price he appraised. he was thorough, polite, and made sure the entire process went smoothly. I had not needed a realtor for over 20 years. I started to research realtors in the Elkhorn area. My search with my criteria kept coming up to Don & Valerie Keeton. Don gave us input for updates & fixes to be made to our property to get it ready to sell. Don also gave us numbers in detail how he determined the range of value for our home. Don actually explained the numbers of why & why not the value of our home is what it was. No sugar coating either way. Impressive! Valerie helped us know how to prepare the presentation of our house! Valerie provided a lot of input. The actual showings was made easy with phone apps keeping all of us informed. The offers came in! Valerie & Don helped us truly understand the offers (pros & cons) which helped us decide. Once offer accepted Valerie walked us through the details & paperwork. Don & Valerie were able to answer any questions or concerns & the sale went accordingly! Don and Valerie made selling my late father's house an easy experience (estate house sale). Don did an initial consultation with me to suggest home repairs prior to selling. He also gave me a complete overview of comparable houses in the neighborhood and prices for those homes. Don has a great understanding of the market for our neighborhood. This helped me decide on the selling price of the home. Once the repairs were complete (which took about 3 months), the home was listed and sold in one day. I listed my house right as the Covid-19 pandemic hit. I thought I would be hanging on to my house for a long while since it seemed at first that no one was out looking during the Covid-19 virus. I was also informed that due to the virus that no one was doing open houses either, so I thought my timing was horrible!
They told me up front about how long it would take to sell my house. and this was before everyone started staying home. They were right, the house sold in that time period and for a great price!
My house sold quickly… more quickly than any other house I have sold before. I even received two offers on the same day.
Don & Valerie work very hard to satisfy the needs of their clients They fought for me at least a couple of times when there were glitches that came up so I ended up with the best outcome possible. They kept my best interests in mind! They gave recommendations of services on work I needed to have done before the sale. One that did an estate sale, others that did some needed work on the house that I was selling. All of these turned out to be great recommendations and very reasonable quotes for the work.
I highly recommend Don & Valerie! You will not be disappointed!
