Don has been a resident of Washington State since 1978 and moved to Whatcom County in 1992. He grew up in Shoshone Idaho, and was born in Council, Idaho, just north of Boise. Don’s grandparents opened the first boarding house in Idaho, and it was the last one to close.
In December 2013 Don retired as a loan officer after 24 years. He was a mortgage broker, mortgage banker, and owned his own offices. Don was the office manager, top producing loan officer, and had a team of loan officers. Don has the pleasure of helping many families happy to buy their first home when others said no or refused to help. He has helped people build their credit and refinance to better their financial situation.
Don enjoys camping, traveling, model trains, sports (wrestling, football, track, basketball, and softball). He was a Bellingham Bulldog player in 2010 National Title Game in Minor League Football. Don was a 3x Jr Olympic Wrestler in Free Style and Grecco Roman Wrestling. He is a retired board member for the www.bellinghambulldog.org, a local non-profit organization.
Don’s wife Malou is his unlicensed assistant with Keller Williams. They recently married on Aug 8th, 2015. They have a daughter who graduated from Ferndale High School, Don has a son who graduated from Orting High School, and he also has a 25-year-old grandson. Don’s wife is originally from the Philippines. They currently live in Ferndale, WA and have a home in Carolina Beach, NC, and land in Wasilla, AK. They also currently own a waterfront property in the Philippines and are building a resort on one of the islands.
Don has traveled half the United States on about 5 trips, with Boy Scouts, family, grandparents, football, and wrestling. He has been to Canada, Brazil, Bahamas, Virgin Islands, Panama, and plans to make it to the Philippines, Spain, Japan, China, Thailand, Dubai, and a few other places.
Don is the President of BPO NW F!X & FLIP LLC. They currently buy default homes, rehab them and sell them in Whatcom, Skagit, and Pierce Counties.
He has been in the real estate industry since December 2003 has his managing broker’s license. Don has been a REO Agent since 2010, BPO Agent since 2009, Short Sale Specialist since 2009, and a Blue Book Specialist since 2013. He also does occupancy checks, home condition checks, FEMA condition inspections, and BPO Reconciliations for BPO vendors.
As a successful Realtor Since 2003, Don has been closing all types of properties in Whatcom, Skagit, Island, Snohomish, Pierce, Benton and Grays Harbor Counties. He is a member of Harris Real Estate University.
