Donald Hitchcock

Donald Hitchcock is a licensed REALTOR® and Associate Broker of Lost River Trading Post Realty. Donald holds a B.A. in Spanish and a B.S in Mathematics from Stetson University in DeLand, Florida. He also holds a master’s in public policy from George Washington University. After moving to Washington DC in 1997 to pursue politics, Donald bought a vacation home in the hills Lost River, West Virginia in 2008. In 2013, he became a real estate agent with his partner Paul Yandura, and together they became one of the most successful real estate teams in the area with over $65 million in sales to date. Part of their success is founding the “World Famous” Lost River Trading Post in Wardensville, WV which calls itself a “Modern. Mountain. General Store.” Here they are able to meet the community and potential buyers for the area approximately 2 hours from the DMV. Donald and Paul specialize in residential, vacation, commercial and land purchases, and listings. In 2021, they branched off to start their own real estate agency stationed as the gateway real estate office to West Virginia. Paul, Donald and their real estate and entrepreneurial endeavors have been covered in the Washington Post, Washington Post Magazine, Washingtonian Magazine, WV Living Magazine, New York Times, Fodors.com, and Southern Living. Donald currently resides in Wardensville, West Virginia with his partner Paul and their two dogs, Quica and Whitman.
