About Donald

Don was born on a farm near Fairfax, Iowa, southwest of Cedar Rapids where he grew up. Don received a Bachelor of Music from Coe College and a Master or Arts in Educational Administration at the University of Northern Iowa.
Don has 12 years of real estate under his belt, all with Century 21. Aside from this, he was a teacher and counselor for 34 years and is also a Veteran of the U.S. Army Signal Corps. Don's business experience ranges from being a rental property owner of a construction company, to being an interior and exterior paint contractor, as well as being involved in investment and insurance sales.
Don has developed a passion for real estate and his patience and hard work come second to none. He is dedicated to working with his clients to find the right home at the right price.
Aside from work, Don enjoys weight lifting and bicycling, boating on lakes and the Gulf of Mexico, flower gardening, and taking road trips.

Don Kacer worked as our agent during the purchase of our latest home. I recommend Don without reservation to anyone looking to purchase a home. Don first contacted us after I had applied for pre-qualification of a home loan online. Don asked what we were looking for in a home and a location that we were looking in. He was able at this point to put us in contact with a financing officer within his company. We were pre-qualified very quickly, and Don was able to send me an email with three to four homes within our price range. Don went out of his way to show us the home we purchased along with three others in Indianola, Iowa always working around our busy schedule. It was with Don’s keen observations that the walls of the home we chose needed new insulation, noting this to us during the first showing. He also went out of his way to contact a contractor to arrange for the insulation work. He also made the needed phone calls for us to find out what rebates were available from MidAmerican Energy and the City of Indianola. Don was an effective communicator helping my wife and I accomplish our goal of purchasing our new home. And even on the day of closing, on a day to fit our schedule, Don was there to help with the closing, give us the keys to our new home, and to make my wife and I feel proud to know him and very happy with the purchase of our new home.
