About Dorothy

Dorothy Ollier was born and raised in the suburbs of Philadelphia, she landed in Maine in 1981 and has never looked back. The people, the landscape, the challenges, and the amazing quality of life still feel like such a great fit and gift that she can hardly believe her own good fortune! She has skied and snowshoed Maine's mountains, hiked its trails, sailed, and kayaked its waters, worked for and supported many of its nonprofits, raised three children there, and admired many of Maine's wonderful people. It has been home to her right from the start, and she now has three grandchildren (referred to, with love, as her grand monsters) here in Brunswick. She has always loved real estate, particularly the connections between people and the properties they choose. She became licensed in 1996 and was with another agency for fourteen years prior to arriving at RE/MAX Riverside in 2010. Her passion for this work never seems to wane; she gets up every day ready to dig in and assist buyers and sellers with their real estate goals. She holds the highest license level available in Maine. She has served as president of the Merrymeeting Board of REALTORS and chaired the MAR Foundation (charitable giving for housing related non-profits), been a director of the Maine Association of REALTORS. She is an elections clerk for the town of Brunswick, past president of the BOD for Tedford Housing, and a current member of its capital campaign committee, charged with raising funds to replace aging and inadequate emergency shelters and expansion of homelessness prevention services. She was a past member of the Brunswick Board of Assessment Review. Her husband and she support a number of charitable efforts from their Coastal Humane society to organizations that feed their neighbors, to agencies working to protect and enhance their environment and public access to land and water. She is an enthralled and enthusiastic advocate for all things Maine and looks forward to sharing her Maine with others!
