About Doug

Doug Browning has been serving people his whole adult life. A graduate of Taylor University, Doug began his career as a youth pastor, leading and teaching students for over 25 years. In addition to serving others, he and his wife Julie had an interest in remodeling old homes, starting with their first home in Michigan and then their first here in Lafayette. In 2012 Doug’s passion for helping people and his love of remodeling fueled his decision to launch his real estate career, and he created the Green Rock team.

Being a part of the Lafayette community for over 16 years, Doug aims to help each client as he or she makes one of the largest financial decisions in life. Doug goes beyond to support clients as they discover the best home for their lifestyle and their families. “We seek to create a win-win environment. We are constantly asking two questions: what is best for our client and what is fair for everyone involved? Our goal is to pay attention to the client’s desires and do so with integrity. I want to make sure families find a home that fits them,” Doug explained. Initially working in a church setting and now raising four kids here, Doug knows the people, neighborhoods, and schools of this community.

Doug believes no question is a dumb question. He understands buying or selling a home can be a learning process, and he makes it his job to be there with answers, expertise, and support. He also advises people to choose a realtor they can trust. Doug said, “A buyer or seller wants to collaborate with a realtor that he or she can trust and one that will work very hard for him or her. That is what the Green Rock Team seeks to do. We value our clients, and we want to treat them with respect and integrity.”
