Doug Butterworth

Doug enjoys life with his wife and their four grown kids. He understands the many changes in life experiences and that a home must be flexible in its function to provide each owner with many years of carefree living. Doug received certifications in Aging-in-Place and Lifetime Design long before his son Coleton was born as a paraplegic with spina-bifida. However, through Coleton’s “different abilities,” he gained new perspective and appreciation of universal design, and he brings that perspective to every project. In his free time, Doug loves spending time enjoying all the seasons and everything Michigan has to offer as well as the occasional winter vacation to the other beautiful peninsula state of Florida.
