Doug Flynn

Doug Flynn has been a consistent top producing realtor – Top 50 in Sales – in the Tahoe-Truckee MLS for over 15 years and a member of the Truckee Tahoe community since 1992.
Doug’s business partner, Erin Flynn, is also his wife and they have lived in Truckee since 1998. They thoroughly enjoy real estate. Actually, it is safe to say, they love it. Whether it is researching or preparing properties they enjoy every aspect. Doug’s focus is on the people, researching properties and negotiations. He wants to always be prepared to help in a search or a sale. Erin is in the background specializing in escrow and vendor management but she also loves looking at properties. Erin absolutely relishes seeing every market segment of real estate comparing finishes, generations and seeing different styles. She is very in-tune with the bones of a home and how they are put together. Erin is also the stager.
Doug has never been able to do anything halfway. He believes if you are going to do something then do it right. His love of the Truckee-Tahoe area, the activities and the people drive his passion for living here. What started with how to achieve a life that involved as much skiing as possible and enjoying the summers evolved to being a successful business operator, an active community member, homeowner and parent.

Doug and Erin have two children. Ethan and daughter Ryan were born and raised in Truckee. Ethan is now a sophomore at Gonzaga University where he is on a golf scholarship. He recently set Gonzaga’s tournament scoring record shooting 64. Ryan is also a sophomore at Grand Canyon University and is also on a golf scholarship. She was the WAC Freshman of the Year. Both played four years of Varsity basketball at Truckee HS. Ryan was the point guard for the 2019 Girls 3A Nevada State High School Champions. Ethan is the all-time leading scorer for Truckee High. Ryan ski raced in Tahoe League and Far West before basketball took over in high school. Doug really loved attending ski races since he was never around the sport growing up in Florida. The whole family are avid skiers when time allows, well except for Erin, she is getting a bit choosy about her ski days recently!
Doug grew up in Sarasota, Fl and attended Florida State on a golf scholarship. He later graduated from the University of Central Florida where he also played golf. Doug moved to Tahoe in 1992.
Erin is from Palos Verdes, CA where she attended Palos Verdes High. Her parent’s, Joe and Cyndy, are career educators and her father Joe Kelly is in the CIF Hall of Fame for his cross-country coaching career that consists of too many accolades to even attempt to choose a highlight from. Erin attended Cal Poly. Erin originally chose Cal Poly for their cross-country team but decided she preferred to just run for herself. Running has always been her passion. Erin obtained a food science degree from Cal Poly and is forever a Mustang.
