Douglas was raised in the Ovid-Elsie area, northeast of Lansing. He has lived in several of the surrounding communities including Grand Ledge / Mulliken, Mason, Laingsburg, Haslett, East Lansing, Lansing, Crystal, and southeast Michigan. For over 8 years, Douglas has lived abroad (China), managing engineered tooling projects and has led the supplier & personnel skills development in China, Japan, South Korea, and Thailand.
