About Ebony

Ebony Smith is a seasoned real estate professional with a rich history in the industry. Born in Southwest Atlanta at Holy Family Hospital, Ebony's journey in real estate began at the age of 25 when she, alongside her big sister, acquired her first investment property. This initial experience ignited her passion for the field, leading her to obtain her Georgia Real Estate License in 2005.

Early in her career, Ebony had the privilege of working under the guidance of the esteemed Atlanta icon, Barbara J. Alexander, at her first brokerage. The mentorship she received from Alexander proved invaluable, setting the foundation for Ebony's successful career. With a love for teaching, Ebony has served as a mentor for new agents for the past 18 years, drawing on her experiences to guide others in the industry. Several of her mentees became brokers, a testament to Ebony's impactful mentorship.

Throughout her career, Ebony has diversified her expertise by brokering commercial, residential, overseas investments, and land acquisitions. She currently leads a team under Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Ga Properties brokerage and is the proud owner of The LEO Realty Group LLC.

Not one to shy away from challenges, Ebony weathered the storm of the real estate market crash during the second Clinton term. Despite facing hardships, including the closure of her small boutique office, Ebony emerged stronger, having gained valuable experience in listing foreclosures, short sales, and Bank Owned properties. This challenging period taught her resilience, strength, and endurance, contributing to her growth as a professional.

In response to the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and the heated real estate market, Ebony took a unique turn in her career by obtaining a Commercial Driver's License. Unwilling to accept the unaffordable prices in the real estate market, she hit the US highways, driving an 18-speed tractor from Georgia to California. This unconventional approach not only allowed her to escape the real estate frenzy but also provided her with valuable insights and connections from people across different walks of life.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Ebony remains deeply connected to her hometown, expressing love for Atlanta despite the challenges, particularly the notorious traffic. Her roots in the city run deep, and her commitment to real estate and continuous personal growth exemplify her mantra: "All one can do is try their best by doing their best. The world has no limit."
