About Ed
A little about me
I got into real estate before I could even drive—literally. You could say I was born into it. Back in second grade, I was already helping my mom clean up her rental properties. As soon as I was big enough to push a lawnmower, I was put to work—cutting grass, painting, cleaning, hauling off trash—whatever needed to be done. Those early experiences taught me the ins and outs of single-family real estate long before I ever owned my first property.
In college, I bought my first house and got a crash course in what it really means to be a landlord—cleaning up after tenants, negotiating repairs, and chasing down late rent. But I also learned how to make real estate work for me. I saw firsthand the power of leverage, how depreciation played into my taxes, and how to maximize ROI on every deal. From that first house, I built an investment portfolio with multiple long-term and short-term rentals across the country. I know how to make a property pay for itself—and I help my clients do the same.
In 2009, I founded Neuhaus Realty Group with the goal of helping people navigate real estate with strategy and confidence. At one point, we had a large team and a big operation, but over time, I shifted to a smaller, more focused approach. The reason? Better service. Real estate isn’t about running a big company—it’s about solving problems and delivering real results for clients. Today, I work with a select group of buyers, sellers, and investors, providing tailored expertise in residential, commercial, and investment real estate.
One of the projects I’m most proud of is a 900-parcel assemblage in North Houston—a decade-long effort that came with just about every challenge you can imagine. I worked with hundreds of sellers, dozens of attorneys, and plenty of local politics along the way. There were dead and deported sellers, eminent domain battles, and clouded titles. The deal had its fair share of mystery too—corrupt attorneys, sellers who won their lots in poker games, and more roadblocks than I can count. But in the end, I got it done. That land is now home to one of the largest industrial warehouse developments in Houston. If you want to hear the full story—or talk about how I can help you navigate a complicated deal—just ask.
